To fulfil all of these – in our opinion very important – customer wishes, we only use high-quality, officially recognised and certified materials.

The used materials have been decorated by the Gütegemeinschaft deutscher Möbel with the “Golden M” and the emission label of “A”-grade quality as well as the certificate “Der Blaue Engel”.

Developing and designing new models

Due to our decades of experience in the upholstery business, we have advantage of drafting, developing and designing most of our models ourselves.

With great pleasure, we aim to present an extensive range of products to our customers.

Automatic and precise CAD cuttings

With state of the art CAD technology and trained employees, we are able to generate and execute all of our fabric cuts on site. We can even provide for special requests and individualised design also in leather.

Our production - is a kind of manufactory

For us, the craftsmanship of upholstery begins with the search for the best quality of the materials we use.

The “heart” of a sofa or an armchair is the most important basis for the resulting upholstered furniture. Our employees take the time to prepare each individual part carefully and in detail. We believe, only in this way can our upholstered furniture be created with attention to detail and promise a long service life.

Sewing by qualified seamstresses

Fabric and leather components are sewn together into upholstery cases with passion, patience and by hand.

Years of expericne pays off in this area. Our seamstresses and sewers are qualified and skilled employees who sew countless upholstery cases on a daily basis to enhance our furniture.

Upholstered with care by specialists

Its a real handicraft to finalise a piece of upholstery well. Thanks to our many dedicated employees, all pieces of Ponsel furniture are manufactured on site in Weidhausen. A large amount of production steps, countless staples and nimble hands are needed in this case to produce such fine and distinct upholstery.

Quality checks and release

Refined and first-rate upholstery pieces with high quality are manufactured in our production. Always, they are controlled meticulously before shipping.

Before a sofa or an armchair can leave the factory, the pieces is controlled through extensive quality checks and only then given clearance to be sent off to furniture shops.

Important signs of quality

Since 1995, we are certifed with the renowned quality seal „Das goldene M“ and can guarantee you high environmental and qualitative standards in our Ponsel upholstery production.

Additionally, our upholstery pieces possess the emission label Grade A.

Since late 2013, we can be counted among the few producers in Germany which attained the prestigious eco-label „Blauer Engel“ that all our fabric products are certified with.

Helping the environment

Our concerns for environment are crucial. Since 2017, we have been updating our system – namely on the roof of our production halls.

A photovoltaic system now produces our own electricity and we delight in the fact that we can contribute to a safe and more stable environment.
